I've been a Gene Krupa Fan ever since I took my first drum lesson on an old typewriter pad in my high school typing room. I was 12 years old and took 4 half-hour lessons one summer in 1963. I loved Gene Krupa and how he played his Slingerlands. Since those early days I have made every attempt to improve my own drumming over the past 46 years.
