36 years ago this morning we lost Gene. He is always in my thoughts.

Paul thank you for reminding us of the sad passing of Gene. There isn't a day that goes by without me and many of us thinking of the maestro. Once again thanks from all of us Peter

Paul,

I too thank you for the somber reminder of Gene's passing. I don't think a week goes by when I don't play a record or cd of his music. It's almost as if he were family as well as a hero and idol to many of us. Sometimes while asleep and awaken during a stormy thunderous night, I often think that rumbling might be an echo of his 18 inch floor tom telling us he's still playing somewhere. Gone but certainly never forgotten.
